Our Consultant Team is made up of world-class Oxbridge graduates and PhD-qualified advisors who help students explore their subjects in depth and uncover their true intellectual interests. They guide students to understand not only the foundations of their field but also its frontiers, how it is evolving, and how it is shaping the world. By providing expert academic mentorship, they ensure students develop critical thinking skills and a deep mastery of their chosen subjects.

Dr Lydia Lee   PhD MA (Cantab), MSci (Hons) (Cantab), MRSC, MCMI

Founder, CEO & Chief Education Consultant

Dr Lee holds a PhD in Chemistry from Jesus College Cambridge, where she also attained an MSci degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry). She attained first class honours in all four years of studies including being ranked top of the year in her final year. Dr Lee also taught first and second year undergraduate Natural Sciences (Chemistry) students at the University of Cambridge.


Dr Lee was awarded the Senior Examiner’s Prize by the Department of Chemistry, Senior Keller Prize, Sir Alan Cottrell Prize for Natural Sciences, and Foundation Scholarships for her outstanding achievements at Cambridge. She is also a published scientist with extensive experience in drug discovery research and biotechnology ventures. Dr Lee was a representative of the Careers Service at the University of London, a careers mentor of Jesus College, Cambridge, and the Royal Society of Chemistry. Outside of education, she is a VP in strategic investment for medical technology transfer initiatives.

 

Dr Lee has over a decade of experience in university teaching, educational consultancy
and careers mentoring, and she has supported many students, both local and international, in their university applications to world's top universities and early to mid-career development.

Mr John Au   MBA, LLM, MSci (Hons) (Cantab), MA (Cantab), MCMI

Director of Partnerships and Product  

John studied Natural Sciences (Chemistry) at King’s College, University of Cambridge, graduating in 2005. He later earned both an LLM and an MBA from the University of London. Over the past two decades, John has held senior product leadership roles across multiple sectors, developing innovative digital solutions that leverage AI and behavioural science to transform how people learn, work, and make decisions.

 

His experience includes senior product management at Raspberry Pi, where he led the development of EdTech initiatives; product management at Cambridge Cognition managing the development of digital cognitive assessment tools for clinical trials. John also served as Head of Product at Verint Transversal, specialising in AI-powered knowledge management systems. This background has given John a unique perspective on building scalable, user-centred technology products that purposefully align complex technical solutions with real-world user needs.

 

John has also been active in start-up funding and strategic partnerships with a strong emphasis on scaling bold ideas, a concept he describes as “10X thinking.” Now leading digital product development at Oxbridge Gateway, John oversees the new ASPIREdeck initiative that integrates advanced psychometric and educational tools to transform students' university preparation and early career growth. His goal is to build a scalable platform that delivers highly-personalised, data-driven insights that enhance educational guidance on a global scale.

Dr Winnie Pui   PhD (Cantab) MPhil MEd FHEA

Director of Education and Senior Board Advisor

Dr Pui is Course Director and Senior Teaching Associate at the University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), where she teaches on the Undergraduate Certificate in Coaching and the MSt in English Language Assessment. She is passionate about supporting students from all backgrounds, ensuring they feel valued and well-supported while developing confidence, self-regulation, and skills to navigate academic and professional challenges.


Dr Pui is also an undergraduate supervisor at the University of Cambridge, and a visiting professor at the City University of Macau and the University of Saint Joseph, supervising Master’s and PGDE students. She is the founder of Building Joy, a programme that uses LEGO® to enhance children’s literacy, numeracy, interpersonal skills, and self-regulation.


Holding an MPhil and PhD from the Faculty of Education at Cambridge, Dr Pui has over a decade of experience as a lecturer, educational consultant, and coach, demonstrating a commitment to innovative pedagogy and amplifying student voices in learning. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, the Association for Coaching, and CollectivED, and a certified MBTI® Practitioner, LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator, and Parental Transition Coach. She has also served as an external examiner for AdvanceHE in England.


Her recent research focuses on curriculum design and teaching approaches that enhance students’ self-regulation and learning, supporting teachers in responding to diverse needs while helping students grow academically and personally. Her work, including publications in Support for Learning, reflects a dedication to creating meaningful and personalised learning experiences.

Dr Danny Ho   PhD (Cantab) MChem CChem

Board Advisor  

Dr Ho completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Cambridge working on developing new synthetic methodology and subsequent application in the synthesis of drug analogues. He supervises first to fourth-year undergraduates in organic chemistry courses.

 

Dr. Ho built his career in the pharmaceutical industry as a medicinal chemist at Pfizer, gaining in-depth experience across multiple disease areas, including Allergy & Respiratory, Pain, and Urology. He is now a recognized industry expert in occupational competence assessment and training within the scientific sector. In his current role, he combines his responsibilities as a senior lecturer with business development, where he collaborates closely with customers to advise on establishing laboratory-based apprenticeships and promotes these opportunities within the science industry.

Dr Man Yi Ho   PhD (Cantab) MEng (Hons) BA LRSM MRSC MIET

Board Advisor

Dr Ho attained her first degree with first class honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University of Cambridge, graduating with an MEng in 2006. She subsequently pursued a PhD in Cambridge in Biosensing which focused on the development of label-free electrochemical detection of biomolecular interactions using redox-active self-assembled monolayer, and the theoretical modelling of the electrochemical biosensor.

 

Dr Ho is currently a project coordinator at Schlumberger Cambridge Research where she continues to have a close collaboration with Cambridge University. She has been lecturing master engineering students and supervising PhD projects in the engineering and chemistry department.

Dr Elizabeth Evenden-Kenyon   BA (Hons), MA, PhD, MCMI ChMC

Senior Education Consultant & Honorary Advisor

Dr Evenden-Kenyon holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of York, where she also studied Literature, Languages and Linguistics as an undergraduate. She undertook her MA in Forensic Linguistics at the University of Birmingham. She was certified in Public Policy Design and Delivery at the Harvard Kennedy School. She is an established author in academic, government, and fictional writing. She has also worked extensively as an editor in both academic and government arenas.

 

After more than two decades as a full-time academic, Dr Evenden-Kenyon is now a part-time academic at Oxford, and splits her time between this and work as a Chartered Management Consultant, working with and advising the British Government.

 

Dr Evenden-Kenyon’s academic career started at the University of Cambridge, where she taught Politics, Religion, and Economics in the History Faculty. She was also a don at Newnham College, and a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow there. In 2012 she was awarded a prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship by the European Commission, we saw her take a professorship at Harvard University, as Principal Investigator of a large project on Conflict, Coalition and the Press, examining the history of how the media manipulates public opinion in accordance with the needs of the state. 

 

Dr Evenden-Kenyon returned to the UK to take up a post at the University of Oxford in the department of Medieval and Modern Languages, and also took up a Fellowship at Ushaw College at the University of Durham. During this phase of her career, her analysis of government ‘spin’ saw her researching this political language across Portugal, Spain, and France, as well as the UK. As her academic career began to blend with government policy, Dr Evenden-Kenyon moved into work as a forensic linguist. She continues to work with students at all levels of their academic journey, advising others on how to move into and out of different study and employment opportunities, utilising their critical thinking skills.

Dr Nikita Hari serves as the Head of Teaching and Design of the Department of Engineering, University of Oxford. Previously, she has held key roles such as Technical Director/CTO, the Innovation Lead of UK's first industry-based university and was a Lecturer in Engineering Education at the University College London (UCL). Dr Hari holds a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and the Faculty for Future Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Oxford.

A multi-award-winning Engineer with more than a decade of integrated global career record spanning industry and higher education. Featured in the ’50 Engineers Making a Difference’ book by Imperial College London (2022), ‘Top 50 Women in Engineering in the UK’ (2017) and listed as a ‘Clinton Global Changemaker’ (2018), she is the recipient of numerous global awards and recognition for her inspiring initiatives.

A TEDx speaker and visionary Co-founder of two Edtech companies, she has 100+ invited talks to her credit. Her insights resonate in esteemed global scientific and educational platforms, where she serves as a strategic advisor, influencing policy and systems across governments, startups, and universities. As a celebrated mentor and advocate, Dr Hari is fiercely committed to elevating the voices of marginalised, especially women in STEM fields, for equity and inclusivity. Dr Hari’s vision is to engage, educate and inspire the next wave of changemakers, innovators, and leaders towards a brighter, more sustainable future.
