N.B. The following dates are projected based on the standard LNAT cycle pattern (e.g., 2024 cycle: 1 September 2024 – 31 July 2025). For the most accurate scheduling, monitor updates on the official LNAT website (lnat.ac.uk) as the 2025 testing window approaches.
UCAS Integration: You must input your UCAS Personal Identifier number into your LNAT profile to link your test results to your university application. You can sit the LNAT either before or after submitting your UCAS form, provided it falls within the testing window (1 September 2025 to 31 July 2026) and meets the specific deadlines set by your chosen universities.
One Attempt Rule: You are permitted to take the LNAT only once per testing cycle, running from 1 September 2025 to 31 July 2026. Any additional attempt within the same cycle will be voided. Results are valid solely for the 2026 university entry year and cannot be carried over to subsequent cycles.
Special Cases: For institutions like the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), the deadline to sit the LNAT may be as late as 15 March 2026 for their July 2026 intake, within the standard cycle ending 31 July 2026. This is an exception to typical UK university deadlines, so confirm with SUSS directly if applicable.
Book Early: Test slots tend to fill up quickly, particularly around key deadlines such as 15 October 2025 or 25 January 2026. Booking your test in August or September 2025 (registration typically opens 1 August) maximises your choice of dates and test centres, avoiding last-minute availability issues.
Check University Deadlines: Deadlines vary by institution. Oxford requires the LNAT to be taken by 15 October 2025 (aligned with the UCAS early deadline for 2026 entry), while other universities, such as King’s College London (KCL) and University College London (UCL), often set later deadlines—historically around 20 January or 31 January—for completing the test. For the 2025 sitting, some may shift to 25 January 2026, though this is not yet confirmed. Always verify exact dates with your target universities, as requirements can differ.
