For the most accurate scheduling, monitor updates on the official LNAT website (lnat.ac.uk),

Registration and Booking Opens:

Account Creation and Booking: 1 August 2025

Registration for the LNAT opens on 1 August 2025 via the Pearson VUE system. You will need to create an LNAT account, enter your UCAS Personal Identifier to link your results to your university application, and pay the registration fee. Test booking also begins on 1 August 2025, with the first test slots available from 1 September 2025. Because popular dates in September and October fill up quickly, especially for Oxford and Cambridge applicants, it’s strongly recommended to book your slot as early as possible.

Deadline for Registration/Booking:

Oxford and Cambridge Applicants: 15 September 2025 (to sit by 15 October 2025)

For Oxford and Cambridge, you must register and book by 15 September 2025 and take the LNAT on or before 15 October 2025. This ensures your results are available in time for their early UCAS deadline. Late registration is not permitted.

King’s College London, LSE, UCL Applicants: 31 December 2025

If you are applying to King’s, LSE, or UCL, you must complete the test no later than 31 December 2025. Registration and booking must be completed in advance of this deadline.

Durham and Bristol Applicants: 14 January 2026 (18:00 GMT)For Durham and Bristol, the final deadline for both registration and booking is 18:00 GMT on 14 January 2026, and you must sit the test on or before this date.

All Other LNAT Universities: 20–25 January 2026For most other participating universities, registration and booking close on 20 January 2026 at 18:00 GMT, and the final date to sit the test is 25 January 2026.

Late Applicants (University-Dependent): July 2026Some universities may accept late LNAT results. In such cases, the absolute final dates are 25 July 2026 for booking and 31 July 2026 for sitting the test.

Testing Period:

1 September 2025 – 31 July 2026

Testing begins on 1 September 2025 and runs through to 31 July 2026, but you must sit the test by the deadlines for your chosen universities. Oxford and Cambridge candidates have the earliest cut-off of 15 October 2025, while most other universities allow later sittings. You are permitted only one attempt per admissions cycle (1 September 2025 – 31 July 2026). If you take the test more than once, only your first sitting is valid.

Results Release:

Candidate Access: Your results will be accessible through your LNAT account after universities have made their decisions, usually in the spring. Section A (multiple-choice) is scored out of 42, while Section B (the essay) is assessed directly by admissions tutors and is not given a numerical score.

University Access: Universities receive your LNAT results automatically. Oxford and Cambridge receive scores in time to shortlist for interviews in November, while other universities access results in line with their admissions timelines. You do not need to send your results manually via UCAS.

Universities receive scores within 24 hours of your test via Pearson VUE. Candidates receive official results twice a year: tests before 20 January 2026 in mid-February 2026, and tests after 20 January 2026 in mid-August 2026.andidates receive official results twice a year: tests before 20 January 2026 in mid-February 2026, and tests after 20 January 2026 in mid-August 2026.
